The Ocean Collection

One-of-a-kind silk botanical art
made from forms of the Pacific

San Diego Hand Printed Art for Flow Dance, Water Fairies, and Collectors

An ocean moment captured in time

Which will be yours before public release?

Created for creatives, performers, dancers, mermaids, flow artists, free spirits, and collectors who appreciate the beauty of slow craftsmanship, original artistry, and pieces as unique as the people who bring them to life.

Every piece begins with a different botanical specimen.

Every arrangement is made by hand.

Every exposure responds differently to the California sun.

Every piece of silk moves differently once it meets the air.

That means the exact artwork you choose belongs to that piece alone.

There is no digital pattern repeating across hundreds of identical products.

There is no factory recreating the same print.

There is the ocean, the plant, the sunlight, the silk, and the moment they met.

Printed with the Pacific

The imagery across the Ocean Collection comes directly from ocean botanicals found along the Southern California coastline, including forms of Giant Kelp, Southern Sea Palm, Mermaid's Glove, bull kelp and other marine botanicals.

Instead of illustrating kelp, I use the plant itself.

The botanical is placed directly against the silk and exposed through the cyanotype process, leaving behind an extraordinarily detailed imprint of its natural form.

You can see the branching structures.
The rippled edges.
The floats.
The folds.

The places where sunlight passed through translucent tissue and the places where the plant blocked it completely.

The ocean made the design first.

I preserved it in silk.

Made to Move

This is art that changes the moment you pick it up.

Silk catches air. Kelp unfurls. A static botanical print becomes something entirely different once it begins moving around a body.

The collection includes pieces created for sweeping turns, spirals, waves, dramatic extensions and large expressive movement.

Some are airy and nearly weightless.

Some create enormous fields of silk around the body.

Some reveal their imagery slowly as the fabric opens.

They were designed to look beautiful hanging still.

They were made to become extraordinary in motion.

Move like water.

A piece of the Pacific just for you.

The Ocean Collection is Live for The Current Members!

Because these pieces are individually printed and finished by hand, all designs are one of a kind.

If there is a particular piece you connect with, I recommend choosing it before the collection opens rather than waiting for another identical version.

About

Taleria Delights is a coastal textile atelier, creating limited works in silk, sun-prints, and movement.

Rooted in the Southern California coast, the studio begins with materials gathered at the waterline. Kelp, and other ocean botanicals are collected by hand and composed directly onto silk, where sunlight fixes their forms in Prussian blue.

The process is photographic, botanical, and deeply physical. Each specimen leaves behind its own architecture: serrated edges, branching veins, translucent membranes, drifting fronds. These impressions are then layered with hand-applied color and transformed into silk objects designed for the body.

Veils become extensions of gesture. Wings catch air. Fans fracture light. Scarves move like water.

Each piece exists somewhere between botanical specimen print, ocean mandala, wearable art, and performance textile. The work is informed by the visual language of the Pacific: deep water, reflected light, submerged forests, weathered marine forms, and the constant tension between delicacy and force.

Rather than reproducing images of nature, Taleria works directly with it. The botanical itself becomes part of the image-making process, leaving a physical trace of a particular place, tide, and moment.

No composition can be precisely repeated.

Created slowly and in limited quantities in San Diego, each Taleria Delights piece is an individual work of wearable art, made for magic when it meets light, air, and intentional movement.

Ocean-born. Sun-printed. Made to move.

Help Keep Taleria Flowing

Support a woman-owned art studio with a mission to bring creativity, movement, and joy to people living with physical disabilities.

Taleria Delights grew from my own experience navigating a disabling medical crisis. Living with severe cervical spine disease caused by hypermobility and EDS, I began exploring ways to move with greater strength, stability, and awareness through silk flow arts.

What began as my own search for a way forward became something I wanted to share with others.

My mission is to help people facing health challenges discover movement that feels like play, creativity, dance, and freedom.

Every contribution helps bring that vision to life.

Your support helps cover the practical costs of running my independent art studio, from collecting ocean botanicals and purchasing silk to maintaining my website and creating new work.

It gives me the time, resources, and stability to continue creating and exploring the possibilities of art and joyful movement.

If purchasing a piece of silk isn't within your budget, you can still be part of what I'm building.

Every contribution, regardless of its size, helps keep this work moving forward.

Thank you for helping Taleria Delights take flight.
